AgainstLa Joux-Perret publishes no rate and no price list. The accuracy figures quoted for its grades come from the brands that buy it, not from the manufacture. Twelve pieces, the ten plus two spares, have to be quoted case by case.
Sellita SW300-1 b

ForThe thinnest of the three, proven over decades, and serviceable by any watchmaker anywhere. The 2026-2027 catalogue lists this b execution as factory no-date, with a two-position crown.
AgainstThe stock actually offered to us is the SW300-1 a, the date execution. Behind a blank dial that keeps a quickset position which moves nothing. The no-date b has to be ordered, not picked off a shelf.
Miyota 9039

ForA true no-date automatic, easy to buy in single pieces, and it frees budget for the stone and the case where the eye actually lives.
AgainstMiyota states minus 10 to plus 30 seconds a day, a wider window than Sellita publishes for its Elaboré range. The finishing is plain, and a watch built on it is not Swiss Made.
Soprod P024
Eliminated · 16 August 2026Why it leftThe only Soprod document we can cite, the P024 data sheet of July 2020, describes a date calibre with a three-position stem. We could not confirm a current catalogue entry, nor a supply route for twelve pieces. That is not the same as discontinued: it is simply something we cannot promise, so it leaves the bench.
Every figure above is the movement maker's own published number. Where a maker publishes no rate, the line is left out rather than borrowed from someone else. Measurements from our own pieces will be published separately, marked as ours, once candidates are in hand. Decisions land in the journal first.
